Prince Of Peace Ministry 2025 Recovery Steps

Hope

**My Steps of Recovery**

1. **I Gave My Heart to Jesus**—I was baptized in water, and now Jesus fights for me. I could not combat the enemy in my own strength. I know that Jesus has already defeated the enemy, and He will do it again.

“Therefore, you shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart, with your whole being, and with your whole strength.”

 —Deuteronomy 6:5 NABRE

“A thief comes only to steal, slaughter, and destroy; I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.”

 —John 10:10 NABRE

2. **When Hallucinations Appear**—I remain calm and relaxed. I do not panic or succumb to fear; instead, I pray the “Lord’s Prayer” and call out the name of Jesus.

 “Pray without ceasing.”

 —1 Thessalonians 5:17 NABRE

“Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.”

 —Romans 10:13 CSB

3. **I Journal My Experiences**—I write down every affliction so that future generations can learn from them.

“Then the Lord answered me and said: Write down the vision; make it plain upon tablets, so that the one who reads it may run.”

 —Habakkuk 2:2 NABRE

“Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”

 —Revelation 1:11 NABRE

4. **I Testify**—I share my experiences with others. I witness what Jesus has done to conquer darkness in my life and proclaim the Good News of Jesus.

“They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; love for life did not deter them from death.”

 —Revelation 12:11 NABRE

5. **I Seek Mental Health Counseling**—When I believe I am facing supernatural attacks or a mental health crisis, I consult a licensed professional specializing in mental health therapy. I always take prescribed mental health medications as directed.

“Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.’”

 —John 8:12 NABRE

6. **I Rest and Get Enough Sleep!** This is crucial. When I have trouble sleeping, I notify my physician.

“In peace [and with a tranquil heart] I will both lie down and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety and confident trust.”

 —Psalms 4:8 AMP

7. **I Do Not Isolate Myself**—This is how the enemy strikes. When I’m alone, I am vulnerable to attacks. I have friends who check on me daily.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up.”

 —Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 RSV

8. **I Do Not Harm Myself or Others.** The enemy wants to destroy me. I know God loves me and all His sons and daughters. He is the one who rescues.

 “You shall not kill.”

 —Exodus 20:13 NABRE

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the evil spirits in the heavens.”

 —Ephesians 6:12 NABRE

9. **I Memorize Scripture.** God communicates through His written word. I memorize Scripture to combat the lies of the enemy and to hear Good News from the Father.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.”

 —Joshua 1:8 RSV

“But seek first the kingdom [of God] and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you besides.”

 —Matthew 6:33 NABRE

10. **I Confess My Sins and Repent.** I remember that Jesus’s ministry is grounded in repentance. I confess daily and repent.

“If we acknowledge our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all wrongdoing.”

 —1 John 1:9 NABRE

Godspeed, everyone.

I love you!

**The Lord’s Prayer:**

“This is how you are to pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name; your kingdom come; your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and do not subject us to the final test, but deliver us from the evil one.”

—Matthew 6:9-13 NABRE
